What is lithium grease?

Lithium grease is made of natural fatty acid ( stearic acid or 12-hydroxy stearic acid ) lithium soap, thickening medium viscosity mineral lubricating oil or synthetic lubricating oil.

Compared with calcium sodium grease, the thickening dose of lithium grease can be reduced by about 1 / 3, and the service life can be more than doubled.

Lithium-based grease, especially the grease thickened with lithium 12-hydroxystearate soap, has become a multi-effect long-life universal grease after adding antioxidants, rust inhibitors and extreme pressure agents. It can replace calcium-based grease and sodium-based grease for bearing lubrication of aircraft, automobiles, tanks, machine tools and various mechanical equipment.

General lithium grease ( GB7324-1994 ) : according to the consistency level is divided into 1 #、2 #、 3 #. It has good water resistance, mechanical stability, corrosion resistance and oxidation stability. It is suitable for the lubrication of rolling bearings and sliding bearings and other friction parts of various mechanical equipment at working temperature of -20 ~ 120 °C.

Characteristics of lithium grease :

2.The dropping point is higher than 180 °C, which can be used in the left and right environment for a long time at 120 °C.

3.Good mechanical stability, good chemical stability, good low temperature, can be used for high-speed mechanical bearings.

4.It has excellent water resistance and can be used for wet mechanical parts in contact with water.

5.Lithium soap has a strong thickening ability. After adding additives such as extreme pressure and antirust into the grease, a multi-effect and long-life grease is made and widely used.
